The Zagone Studios Family Centric Community Based Halloween Program 2020.

The mission of the program is to make sure Halloween 2020 is a success by offering your community a safe series of events to celebrate Halloween 2020 with your store as the lead. The program is a guideline that you offer to your local municipality (Community Organization) to present and adjust so it works for your particular neighborhood, communities, blocks, towns, cities, wards, parishes etc.
 
The Halloween Program includes a Trick or Treating scheme, Costume Fashion Parade, Zombie dance contest and Home Haunt Decoration Contest which can be filmed and digitally delivered live over Facebook and enjoyed by the entire community. 
 
Trick or Treating:
  1. Families with children and individuals are steered to dress in costume and parade, each family must register and get a number for placement in line
  2. The Trick or Treat Path is a set path in the center of closed streets at a designated time frame by the Community Organization dependent on the amount of people, size of community- The Community Organization will need to be the lead in determining the route and getting the proper approval.
  3. Each family, couple, individual or pet is set to parade within social distancing guidelines of six feet apart
  4. A candy bag of safely packed and wrapped candies is handed out to each child trick or treating at the end of the parade, a safer way to trick or treat. The candy can be funded by sponsors or through a fee paid by each participant
  5. The Community Organization works with candy sponsors to develop a trick or treat prepacked bag for each child trick or treating
  6. Each community designates the start and end of the parade route with a designated park or community center to house the trick or treat bags
  7. Possible Sponsors-Candy Companies, McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts
    The Costume Fashion Parade:
    1. For Adults and Pets joining the kids, Trick or Treating is a costume fashion show parade. Utilizing the same trick or treat path, adults and pets join the parade route to show off and scare wearing their costumes. 
    2. Costume Contest, at the end of the parade the participants take a photo opportunity which is set up featuring the community and a Halloween Back Drop for selfies or images
    3. The images are posted to a community Facebook page where people can log on and vote for the best costumes. The best Kid, Adult, Family, Couple and Pet costume. Each community can determine prizes and entrance fees etc.
    4. The Parades are filmed and broadcast digitally on a community website, maybe an association with YouTube, Zoom or Facebook to get publicity and participation
    5. Possible Sponsors: Pinterest, Amazon 
      Halloween Decorated Homes:
      1. Houses in the community are asked to decorate their homes for a Halloween home contest and in order to be entered in the Halloween Decorated home competition they must be decorated by October 1st.
      2. Homes along the parade route are asked to decorate and are offered special decoration packages from the Community Association or your store, the association can also offer props along the route to make sure there is plenty of Halloween eye candy
      3. The decoration packages include sponsorship advertising opportunities for large corporations
      4. People are advised to watch from inside their homes or keep a safe distance along the parade route
      5. Once participating homes are registered for a neighborhood the homes are listed and promoted on Facebook so people can go take a Halloween Drive by of the registered homes and then vote for the best home, the winner per area receives a prize and discount from a local business
      6. Possible sponsor-Home Depot, Menards, Walmart etc
         
        We suggest no handouts along the parade route as it will disrupt the social distancing necessary for safety.
        Zombie dance contest from the field house community center A couples only dance contest is held at the end of the parade and can be broadcast via Facebook live. The couple with the most likes wins a cash prize sponsored by the corporate sponsors.

        What is Trick or Treat Weekend 2020?

        During the Halloween Trick or Treat Weekend, adult Trick or Treaters 21 and older can enjoy special prix fixe package of treats at participating retail shops, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, candy stores, bars and Hotels throughout your city and nearby suburbs.

        These multi sweet offerings (TREATS) are prepackaged offerings including individual Custom Cocktail Kits, pastry bars, brownies, desserts, cookies, candies, petit fours, macarons, gourmet chocolates, gourmet chocolate bars, artisan candies, the Treat packages range from $10, $30, $50 and/or $100.00 (excluding tax, and gratuity).

        During Halloween Trick or Treat Weekend 2020, diners can enjoy special prix fixe menus at hundreds of restaurants throughout the city and nearby suburbs. These multi-course meals are $24 for brunch or lunch, and $36 and/or $48 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity).

        What are the rules?

        Each establishment must agree to offer and promote a 25% discount from regular pricing, be decorated for Halloween and have their staff servicing the customers dressed in mask and costume.

        Adult Trick or Treat participants must be dressed in Costume to receive the treat deals and follow all state laws governing social distancing.

        Items are all available for pick up from the establishments retail locations and can be accessed by foot or car following social distancing laws.

        Establishments must be decorated for Halloween and follow the latest stay safe plan.
